Roar Notes #1
-Summary: In the book The Blind Side, the protagonist Micheal Oher is a young black man who is one of the best high school football players in the country. He is discovered by Tom Lemming for his athletic abilities. He is very impressed with the talent of Micheal and he is surprised by his speed considering he is about 300 pounds. Micheal is also introduced to Big Tony who the man who will take Micheal to Briacrest Christian School located in East Memphis. This school is filled with rich white children so Micheal faces many challenges while he is there. This is where Micheal meets the basketball coach John Harrington,and the football coach Hugh Freeze. They are both stunned with Micheal's skills but they see that he is missing too much school and he has very poor grades. Because of this he seeks academic help from his teachers to be eligible to play sports. Micheal faces many challenges but he has the support of a family that has taken him in as a son.

Roar Notes #2
-Summary: Micheal is playing for his high school football team and they won the State Championship. College football coaches are continuing to be impressed so they are making many offers to Micheal so he can consider going to their college to play football and hopefully make it to the NFL. Micheal later meets Ms. Thompson who is an NCAA investigator. She interviews Micheal to see if he and his family are in violation of any NCAA recruitment rules. Micheal ends up going to school at Ole Miss and gets drafted to the NFL.

-Explanation of Quote: This quote is saying that Micheal is a very confident and independent person. He can take on a challenge and complete it without help from anyone.
